The Florence Police Department says their officers along with Florence Fire and EMS responded to a medical call at 3155 Kendall Drive in the Florence Industrial Park.
While on the scene, paramedics determined that a worker in the parking lot had been struck by lightning. The victim is a 28 year old male from Florence, and has succumbed to his injuries.
The victim’s name is being withheld pending
notification of the victim’s family.
