The Florence Utilities Department reports that power has been restored to all of its customers in the downtown area.
Officials say a vehicle snagged and pulled down a power line around 10:30 this morning. The outage lasted about three hours, and affected several thousand residents and busineeses.
Traffic lights were also darkened by the outage, with our partners Shoals Traffic reporting on several intersections where the lights were out.
