The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s office says a hunter has discovered human remains in a wooded area near County Road 6, west of Highway 157.
Lauderdale County Sheriff Joe Hamilton says the hunter discovered skeletal human remains in plain view on the ground, and informed the sheriff’s office this afternoon.
Officials have not elaborated on the discovery and will release additional information as the investigation unfolds.
