The Colbert County Sheriff’s Department says a Killen woman has been arrested in Sheffield for trafficking fentanyl.
On November 14th, agents with the Colbert County Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop on East 31st Street in Sheffield. After making contact with the driver, consent was given to conduct a search of the vehicle.
During the scope of the search agents located a brown box with a sealed plastic bag containing 2,692 fentanyl pills. At this time, Rylee Jeane Burkett, age 22 of Killen, was taken in to custody and transported to Colbert County Jail.
She is charged with drug trafficking, and is currently being held on $350,000 bond.
