Winter Weather Update for 6:00 pm Monday:
A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6am tomorrow.
Also a Wind Chill Warning has been issued for the entire WNRA listening area, effective from midnight tonight until noon tomorrow.
The National Weather Service says up to two more inches of sleet and snow are expected, and wind chills could drop as low as 15 degrees below zero tonight.
All roads in Lauderdale, Colbert, and Franklin Counties are reported iced over, slick, and dangerous.
Franklin and Colbert County have both issued an impassible travel advisory for all county roads and bridges.
Please stay home and off the roadways until further notice.
The following schools will be closed both Tuesday and Wednesday.

Mars Hill Bible School is closed tomorrow but has not yet mentioned Wednesday.

Municipal court will be closed tomorrow, January 16th.
The Florence City Council meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday the 18th.
The Colbert County Courthouse will be closed tomorrow as well.

Winter Weather Update for 11:00 am Monday morning:
All reports on roads we have received for Lauderdale, Colbert, and Franklin Counties are that they are iced over, slick, and dangerous.
We have received notice of several wrecks and reports of cars in ditches overnight, including one wreck that closed O’Neal Bridge southbound.
Colbert County has issued an impassible travel advisory for all county roads and bridges.
Highways 24 and 43 in Franklin County have been treated but tributary roads are impassible.
It appears most of the Shoals received over an inch of sleet accumulation overnight, which froze the damp roadways.
We have seen no additional snow yet, but the National Weather Service predicts up to three inches of powder will accumulate on top of the sleet.
